My wife, Emily, is the love of my life. Everybody knows that. She's also one of the smartest people I know. She's the brains behind Sweet Music, and the heart. I'm just the talent. While we were driving to Duxbury Beach over the weekend, (yeah I know - a beach in January? Don't ask me to explain.), she said "if you resolve to do something important, you shouldn't wait until the new year to start.
She's in good company: Anaïs Nin said "I made no resolutions for the New Year. The habit of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding my life, is too much of a daily event for me.”
They're both right. There's no better time than the present to start that new project, change your furniture, plan a garden, or learn to play a musical instrument.
I'll not pile on to the plethora of New Years' commentary in the media these days. I'm just here to say Happy New Year to you and yours. May this year be just as great as every other year since YOU were born!
Enjoy some Bride groom's delight from me and my friend Jim, and enjoy!
