Bluegrass Group

Bluegrass Music Group - Fridays 7-9pm

Bluegrass music is highly improvisational, so this group spends a lot of time just jamming, learning to trade solos, listening and having fun! Open to any and all bluegrass instrument including mandolin, fiddle, guitar, banjo, bass, dobro.

The class meets Fridays from 7-9pm at my home in Granby, MA.  The group decides what music it wants to learn, votes on the new material, and works on approximately 10-15 new tunes/melodies per semester.  A semester is approximately 3 months.  Any bluegrass, western swing or acoustic country is acceptable.  Some of the tunes we have been working on can be found in the Fiddler's Fakebook by Dan Brody, the Portland Collection by Susan Songer, and the Waltz Books.

If you would like to join the Bluegrass Group, please contact us.  The cost is $20 per class and there is no enrollment fee.
